Did you know that Dublin’s St Patrick’s Day parade is the third largest in the world, behind New York and Chicago? The last time I visited, the Parade was great fun and the planners go all out to make it all-inclusive.

This year’s St Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin is set to take place on Friday, March 17th, and the theme for the parade is One and it will “shine a light on all the goodness that surrounds us.” The parade will showcase the best of Ireland’s music, dance, art, and culture, with a particular focus on celebrating the resilience, creativity, and spirit of the Irish people.

The parade kicks off at noon, starting at Parnell Square and making its way through the streets of Dublin, passing by famous landmarks such as Trinity College and St. Patrick’s Cathedral before finishing at the junction of Cuffe Street and Kevin Street. The route will be lined with spectators, who come from all over the world to enjoy the festivities and soak up the atmosphere of this vibrant city.

In addition to the parade, there are several other events taking place throughout Dublin to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The city will be awash with green, and many of the famous landmarks such as the Guinness Storehouse, the National Gallery of Ireland, and Dublin Castle will be illuminated in green light. There will also be live music performances, traditional Irish dancing displays, and a range of family-friendly activities to enjoy.

Whether you’re a local or a visitor to Dublin, there’s no better time to explore all that this wonderful city has to offer than on St. Patrick’s Day. So grab your green clothes, put on your dancing shoes, and get ready to join the festivities!
